In August of 2016 took a two night trip through the Snowgrass Flats located in the Goat Rocks Wilderness.
We stayed the first night at a small snow melt pond with a sweeping view of both Mount St. Helens and Mount Adams.
We were very lucky to have fresh water so close by our camp. Maggie and I were very tired after our long hike up to 6000 feet.
The next morning we packed up camp and moved onto Goat Lake. I love backpacking in the second week of August because of the annual Perseid Meteor shower.
